The meaning behind the name
In Hebrew, matanah (מתנה) means a gift. But to me it has always meant something more than the lovely things tucked inside the box — it’s a way of saying I see you, I’m here, and you matter.
I started Matanah because I kept reaching for that feeling — wanting to spoil a bride before her wedding, to comfort a friend through a hard week, to celebrate a milestone in a way that felt personal. So I began curating boxes by hand: a little self-care, a little luxury, and a lot of love.
Today, every Matanah box is still chosen, checked and wrapped by me — so all you have to do is share the love.
